Our Spring 2026 theme musically celebrates the vast and diverse qualities of the human condition. The repertoire is gorgeous…full of beautiful harmonies, melodic lines, and thoughtful lyrics. Choral styles range from modern to madrigal, jazz to spiritual.
We also have a few sacred songs, such as a brilliant version of “Ezekiel Saw De Wheel,” a breath-taking “Ave Maria,” and a wonderful arrangement of the folk song, “Down in the River to Pray.”
Concerts will be held in three venues: two in Hilo and one in Keaau/Hawaiian Paradise Park. All are under the baton of conductor Doug Albertson.
Movies are back with films everyone will love! Grab some hot, freshly popped popcorn or a sweet treat from our concessions, kick back, and enjoy a fun, relaxing night together.
All movies start at 7 PM.

A live theater play showcasing Big Island talent in a wonderful satire of an Agatha Christie style whodunnit. Reality breaks down when two theater critics become part of the the play they are reviewing. A sharp, witty satire of the theater scene!
The 39 Steps is a parody play adapted from the 1935 film by Alfred Hitchcock, which is itself adapted from the 1915 novel by John Buchan. The original concept and production of a four-actor version of the story was written by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon, and premiered in 1996. Patrick Barlow rewrote this adaptation in 2005. The play's concept calls for the entirety of the 1935 adventure film The 39 Steps to be performed with a cast of only four. One actor plays the hero, Richard Hannay; an actress (or sometimes actor) plays the three women with whom he has romantic entanglements; and two other actors play every other character in the show, each occasionally playing multiple characters at once. Thus the film's serious spy story is given a comedic twist.Don't miss your chance to see it at Kona's historic Aloha Theatre.
Step into a world where mystery meets mischief in THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND by Tom Stoppard, presented by the Hilo Community Players. This brilliantly witty parody of classic whodunits turns the genre on its head, blending suspense, satire, and laugh-out-loud comedy into one delightfully unpredictable evening of theatre.
Directed by Sean Douglas, this fast-paced production follows two critics who find themselves swept into the very murder mystery they’re meant to review. As the line between fiction and reality blurs, secrets unravel, identities twist, and nothing is quite what it seems.
Featuring a dynamic local all-star cast— Theon Weber as Birdboot, Casey Simpson as Moon, David Greene as Simon Gascoyne, Sarah Elliott as Felicity Cunningham, Miriam Hoenig as Lady Cynthia Muldoon, Ray Ryan as Major Magnus Muldoon, Rachel Klein as Mrs. Drudge, and Mark Lewis as Inspector Hound— this production brings sharp comedic timing and theatricality to every twist and turn.
Perfect for fans of clever humor and theatrical surprises, The Real Inspector Hound is a side-splitting romp that will keep you guessing and laughing until the very end.
This incredible comedy mystery runs from April 24th - May 10th, with shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, and Sunday matinees starting at 2:30pm. Doors open half an hour before showtime. The beautiful new Keawe Theater is air conditioned, offering classic theater concessions with a full bar.
