The show will run July 19 – 21 at KMC’s Koa Room, July 26 – 28 at the Ocean View Community Center and August 2 – 4 at the Hilo Church of the Nazarene. Each weekend’s performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 and Sundays at 2:30. “We are still waiting for the work to be done at KMC’s Kilauea Theater and after not doing a show last summer we felt we had to do something.” says director Suzi Bond. “We were looking for a show that could easily move locations and we had toured this show in 2003 so I knew what it would entail. It is a small cast and a very easy set. Just some cubes, a doghouse, Schroeder’s piano, and some props make it simpler than most shows to move. “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” fit the bill and it is one of my favorite shows! I played Lucy in high school” Playing the title role is Stephen Bond, who was Woodstock in the 2003 production, Rachel Klein reprises her role as Lucy. Playing her younger brother Linus is Malia Wells, Elizabeth Young is Sally Brown, Ray Ryan is Schroeder and Debbie Campbell is the loveable Snoopy. The show is family friendly and will warm the hearts of all ages. Tickets are $20 general, $15 seniors and students of all ages, and $10 for children 12 and under and are available at the door, cash or check only.
