Coming up, hear Apollo5 on June 21, 2026, at 3 p.m. on your home for classical music, HPR-2.
Celebrating its 15th year, Britain’s smallest but most impressive a cappella quintet continues to capture the hearts of audiences worldwide. Comprising a soprano, mezzo-soprano, two tenors and a bass, the ensemble is known for showcasing rich, dynamic and distinctive sounds while still connecting intimacy and directness. Their diversified repertoire spans five centuries including Renaissance polyphony, contemporary choral works, folk, jazz and pop.
Apollo5 presents The Evening Primrose: works by Monteverdi, Orlando di Lasso, William Byrd, Duruflé, Britten, Gershwin and many others! The original program was to include a composition by Saint – Saëns, but this was replaced by "Johnnie Cope", a traditional Scottish song arranged by Cedric Thorpe Davie.
Their performance was held in collaboration with the Honolulu Chamber Music Series at the Cathedral of St. Andrew on Saturday, March 17, 2026. View the concert program guide.
