Please join us, talk story with our vendors, learn about their businesses and crafts, and enjoy breakfast or lunch at our picnic tables with the Mauna Kea view—where North Hawaii comes together.

Spam can harps, rice bag drums, tin can gongs, and other musical instruments made from repurposed rubbish are on display at Hamilton Library Bridge Gallery now through mid-August. All instruments were custom built by Benjamin Fairfield, author of the illustrated children's book Kani Ka 'Opala: How can garbage sing? Fairfield (lecturer at UH and Hawai'i Pacific University) was featured last October on the Conversation as a climate-action-artist-in-residence with the State Commission on Climate Change in 2025. Come view, play, and listen to an assortment of rubbish instruments. A great way to celebrate Earth Day and aloha 'aina.

This free community service, provided by the University of Hawaiʻi’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resilience, connects you with highly trained Master Gardener volunteers who specialize in tropical horticulture, pest management, and soil health. Whether you are a backyard grower or a small-scale farmer, the "Plant Doctor" is in to help your garden thrive.

Hawaii Dance Bomb's dance camps are designed to be a fun, nurturing environment for kids to enjoy some creative dance and play time. This break from academia gives kids an opportunity to learn through movement, experimentation and creativity.

There will be dancing, games, interactive activities, singing, arts and crafts, choreography, concerts and more! The kids will enjoy sweating, laughing, making new friends, being creative, playing and chilling together! There will always be a performance for the parents at the end of the camp.

Join us in Honolulu for an immersive honolulu turkish mosaic lamp workshop experience. You'll design and create your own Turkish mosaic lamp using hand-cut stained glass tiles and beads, learning traditional techniques passed down through generations.

Our Honolulu studio provides a welcoming, creative environment perfect for both beginners and experienced makers. In 2 hours, you'll complete your project with guidance from our expert instructor, working in a group of up to 1-20 participants. No prior experience is needed—just bring your creativity and enjoy the process of making something uniquely yours.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Noel Okimoto has been playing professionally since the age of ten. Noel’s primary instrument is the drum set, but is also an accomplished orchestral percussionist, vibraphonist, composer and clinician. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Percussion from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Noel has played in Hawaiʻi, the mainland USA, and internationally with Freddie Hubbard, The Woody Herman Orchestra, Stan Getz, Bobby Hutcherson, Richie Cole, Bill Watrous, Ernie Watts, Bud Shank, Barney Kessel, Lew Tabackin, Sadao Watanabe, Wynton Marsalis, Ronnie Cuber, Makoto Ozone, Jeff Richman, Larry Coryell, Nestor Torres, Gene Harris, Take 6, David Benoit, Henry Mancini, Nelson Riddle, Steve Allen, Natalie Cole, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Bob Hope, Rosemary Clooney, Patti Page, Dionne Warwick, and Jake Shimabukuro, among others. He was also a member of the Gabe Baltazar Group for five years. He retired as the percussion section leader of the historic Royal Hawaiian Band after many years of service to the City & County of Honolulu.

Okimoto recorded an award-winning jazz CD in 2004, entitled ‘Ohana, that received a 4-Star review in Downbeat magazine and positive reviews in other national and international publications.

HCT’s After Dark presents “Be More Chill” July 30 - August 16 at The Pūhi Theatrical Warehouse. Performances run Thursdays through Sundays at 7 p.m. This PG-13 musical comedy follows high school student Jeremy Heere as he navigates friendship, popularity, and teenage life with the help of a mysterious supercomputer called “The Squip.” Directed and musically directed by HCT alumnus Taj Nakoa with choreography by alumnus Jake Lester.
