Join the Heart Lotus Youth Warriors Program and help Palolo Elementary students with homework, reading skills, and cultural activities. Hours are 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Whether you can come weekly or just occasionally, you can make a difference to a child. Orientation required. Sponsored by Tzu Chi Hawaii, a Kaimuki-based nonprofit that promotes values of gratitude, respect, love, and mindfulness.

Friends of the Libraries, Kona will be holding their next Book Sale @ the Kailua-Kona Library on Hualalai Road on Friday, December 19 from 11:00 - 3:00 and on Saturday, December 20 from 9:00 - 12:00.
There will be lots of books and jigsaw puzzles available for purchase...Hawaiiana, Collectible Books, Children's Picture Books, Early Readers, Cookbooks, Fiction and NonFiction. This month there will also be a large selection of quilting and sewing books available. Remember...MOST BOOKS ARE ONLY $2.00 and all proceeds go to support the libraries of Kailua-Kona and Kealakekua.

All supplies will be provided, and there is free on-site parking in the WVAPDC’s gated lot. Save with our $40 early bird rate when you register by Dec. 5 (regular price $50).
*One registration covers one adult and up to two keiki ages 8-12. Please choose the family option at checkout to register multiple people at once. Keiki must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
