HPU receives $500K grant to boost Native Hawaiian students in STEM majors, aquaculture

The Conversation continues this week talking about aquaculture with news of a grant that aims to encourage Native Hawaiians to get into fields of science, technology, engineering and math.

The Ocean Institute of Hawaiʻi Pacific University announced it's been awarded a five-year federal grant of just over $500,000 to increase Native Hawaiian participation in STEM fields — including aquaculture. The Conversation talked to Shaun Moss, executive director of the Oceanic Institute about what this means.
