Falls are common as we age, but practical skills and simple home changes can reduce risk. Led by Kupuna Aikido Hawaii, this session demonstrates gentle, body-friendly techniques based on the martial art Aikido to build balance and awareness, plus safer ways to fall to help limit injury. We'll also share AARP HomeFit tips on lighting, trip hazards, and bathroom basics to support aging in place.

Planning for retirement can feel complicated — especially when it comes to Social Security and Medicare. This free, in‑person AARP seminar is designed to help you understand the basics so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

Learn how Social Security and Medicare work, when to enroll or claim, and how these programs can fit into your overall retirement plans. This educational session is presented by trained AARP volunteers and is ideal for adults who are thinking ahead to retirement and want clear, unbiased information.

Morning refreshments and coffee will be provided. We recommend bringing your re-usable water bottle.

Join us in Honolulu for an immersive honolulu turkish mosaic lamp workshop experience. You'll design and create your own Turkish mosaic lamp using hand-cut stained glass tiles and beads, learning traditional techniques passed down through generations.

Our Honolulu studio provides a welcoming, creative environment perfect for both beginners and experienced makers. In 2 hours, you'll complete your project with guidance from our expert instructor, working in a group of up to 1-20 participants. No prior experience is needed—just bring your creativity and enjoy the process of making something uniquely yours.

Hilo Hep Cats monthly swing dance event, hosted by the Elks Lodge. Every Second Saturday. Come for a quick lesson at 630pm, stay for dancing and socializing from 7-930pm.
