InternEmily Tom was born and raised in Honolulu. She is studying English and Literary Arts at Brown University, where she writes for the Brown Daily Herald's Post- Magazine. As Hawaiʻi Public Radio's 2022 summer intern, she primarily works with HPR's The Conversation.
