Join us for open mic with host GJ available to back you up on guitar. We also have an 88 key weighted Roland piano for your performance needs. From 7-10PM on the 2nd Floor of the Waikiki Grand Hotel. Adults 21+ welcome!

Trying improv for the first time, or just getting back into the swing of things? This intro level set of classes is designed to give you the basic tools of improv comedy. Students will learn the value of “yes, and”-ing, listening, agreement, support, and more in a safe, non-judgmental environment. At the end of the 101 session, students will have the opportunity to perform a showcase for invited guests.

Class length: Six 2.5 hour classes

Max Class size: 16

Prerequisite: No Experience Needed

Entrance:

The entrance is on South Street between Auahi and Pohukaina. Walk down small steps and follow the hallway to the left. Wheelchair-accessible entrance off of Pohukaina St.

Join the Heart Lotus Youth Warriors Program and help Palolo Elementary students with homework, reading skills, and cultural activities. Hours are 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Whether you can come weekly or just occasionally, you can make a difference to a child. Orientation required. Sponsored by Tzu Chi Hawaii, a Kaimuki-based nonprofit that promotes values of gratitude, respect, love, and mindfulness.

The community is invited to learn more about the Public Review Draft of the North Shore Sustainable Communities Plan. The meeting will provide an opportunity for the community to give feedback on the draft plan. The North Shore Sustainable Communities Plan is the City’s long-range planning document that guides land use development and infrastructure investments over time. The NSSCP sets forth a comprehensive vision for the North Shore to 2045 and beyond. It includes goals, policies, and priority actions informed by community input and analysis of issues and conditions specific to the North Shore.
