OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa will host the inaugural OUTRIGGER Pickleball Open from October 22-26, 2025. The five-day tournament, produced in partnership with Pickleball Is Great, will welcome amateurs and pros from across the globe to compete at Holua Racquet & Paddle, the state’s largest tennis and pickleball facility located a short walk from the resort.

The tournament will feature singles, doubles and mixed doubles competition across eight divisions. Matches follow a round-robin format with a total prize pool of $10,000 distributed among top players. With 20 newly resurfaced outdoor courts set against the oceanfront landscape of Keauhou Bay, the event combines competitive play with a premier travel experience. This beautiful sandy/rocky coastline gets inundated with marine debris from all over the Pacific and locally. These items can be deadly ingestion and entanglement hazards to animals of all sizes. This brunch will give you life or a Hang Over! You can expect to see dazzling attire, hear some hilarious jokes, and even participate in some audience interaction. This isn’t your ordinary game of bingo – it’s a lively, high-energy event that’s sure to leave you smiling.

ABOUT THE SHOW:
Though the characters may be familiar, each of your favorite storybook fables is uproariously derailed in this adaptation of Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith’s quintessential children’s book of fractured fairy tales. Everything from “Chicken Little” to “The Gingerbread Man” gets a complete makeover. Fun music and witty narration accompany the likes of ineloquent giants, sassy barnyard animals, colossal cow pies, and enough stinky cheese to go around.
