The Aloha Spirit & Difficult Conversations
The Aloha Spirit & Difficult Conversations
February 20 Free Brown Bag Talk on “The Aloha Spirit & Difficult Conversations.”
The non-profit Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center hosts a free talk on February 20th as part of their “Finding Solutions, Growing Peace” Brown Bag Lunch Series. Talks are Third Thursdays from 12 noon to 1 pm via Zoom.
Next month’s speaker is Jo Hittner on the topic “The Aloha Spirit & Difficult Conversations.”
"Nowadays, there is so much in the news and on social media concerning polarization and the lack of civil conversations," says Dr. Hittner, "but that doesn't mean we are powerless against this divisive trend."
In this talk, we will explore how to converse with others who hold differing viewpoints, while embodying the spirit of aloha, in order to retain our relationships and still speak our truth. Useful for personal and workplace conversations.
Ku‘ikahi’s Brown Bag Lunch Series is free and open to the public. To get the Zoom link, contact Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center at (808) 935-7844 or visit hawaiimediation.org.
Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
