The relaxing of pandemic restrictions means a green light for the arts community. HPR’s Noe Tanigawa joined The Conversation with a final look at what’s ahead, including at the Hawaiʻi Triennial. She also bids aloha after nearly two decades of covering arts, culture and more for Hawaiʻi Public Radio.

"Deepest mahalo to the people who've trusted me with their stories all of these years. It has been a privilege truly. And to the people listening — I mean, this is why we do it," Tanigawa said. "You are so worth talking with, thank you. And thank you for everything you do every day because let's face it, this Hawaiʻi, the place we love is a very kākou thing."

This interview aired on The Conversation on March 15, 2022. The Conversation airs weekdays at 11 a.m. on HPR-1.

Catherine Cruz is the host of The Conversation. Originally from Guam, she spent more than 30 years at KITV, covering beats from government to education. Contact her at ccruz@hawaiipublicradio.org.
