Addis Belay
Society of Professional Journalists - Hawaiʻi Chapter Summer InternAddis Belay is the 2026 Society of Professional Journalists Intern for The Conversation at Hawai’i Public Radio. Born and raised in West O’ahu, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Journalism at Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism. She participated in the Asian American Journalists Association’s JCamp in 2024 and is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. You can find her work in The Star Advertiser and The Daily Northwestern. When she’s not in the studio, you can find Addis cruising at Makaha Beach or trying to find a good matcha in Kapolei.
