The County of Hawaiʻi Mass Transit Agency has implemented technological upgrades, making public transportation more convenient for Big Island residents.

Hele-On passengers can now access all route and schedule information on Google and Bing’s map and transit websites and apps. All buses can now be tracked in real-time.

The Trip Planner tool on the apps can provide transit options to any location on Hawaiʻi Island for same-day service or weeks in advance.

Hele-On fares can be purchased online through the Token Transit app and Moovit app.

The Moovit app also allows users to track Hawaiʻi Island Bikeshare availability and schedule Lyft and Uber rides.

More information can be found at heleonbus.org.
