City Car Registration Kiosks Closed For Maintenance

Casey Harlow/HPR

The City and County of Honolulu is closing the vehicle registration kiosks Sunday and Monday for maintenance.

The DMVNow kiosks offer self-service motor vehicle registration renewals to drivers. The machines are available 24/7 in Safeway stores at Beretania, Kaneohe, Kapahulu, Kapolei, and Waimalu.

Motorists can also renew registrations online or by mail instead of standing in lines at satellite city hall locations.

The city opened the self-service kiosks in February in the wake of continuing complaints of long lines at the satellite city halls.

Residents can renew registrations for their cars, trucks, trailers and motorcycles at the kioks within 45 days of their expirations.
