Please join us, talk story with our vendors, learn about their businesses and crafts, and enjoy breakfast or lunch at our picnic tables with the Mauna Kea view—where North Hawaii comes together.

Music Director Dane Lam and the Hawai’i Symphony Orchestra are thrilled to announce the return of the esteemed Kaimana HapaSymphony series for its fourth season. This unique series celebrates local musicians beloved by our community, inviting fans to hear popular music from local performers in intimate and imaginative ways accompanied by a full orchestra of Hawaiʻi’s most talented musicians.

This season promises five captivating performances at the historic Hawaii Theatre, including:

June 14, 2025 - Slack-key guitar master Keola Beamer

We have 100 Artisans which include but are not limited to Men's and Women's Clothing, Jewelry, Pottery, Paintings, Swim Suits, Sunglasses, Hats, Bags, Hand painted Coconut shells, Dog Wear, and so much more. Please come and support local Artisans at the Maui Gift and Craft Fair held every Sunday from 9am to 2pm at Lahaina Gateway Shopping Center where Kihei Cafe, ACE Hardware and Ross Dress for Less are located.

Our Monday Night Poetry group, led by published poet Gwyn Görg, meets the second Monday of the month at 5:30 pm at the Laupāhoehoe Library. If you’d like, bring a poem you’ve written or one you love to share and discuss in a friendly, relaxed setting. It’s a great way to connect and get inspired!

Join the Heart Lotus Youth Warriors Program and help Palolo Elementary students with homework, reading skills, and cultural activities. Hours are 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Whether you can come weekly or just occasionally, you can make a difference to a child. Orientation required. Sponsored by Tzu Chi Hawaii, a Kaimuki-based nonprofit that promotes values of gratitude, respect, love, and mindfulness.

The Event has 50 Vendors that are Artisans that create products here on Maui to provide income for their Ohana. The money that they get from selling their products goes back into the Maui economy. The 50 vendors includes but is not limited to Food Trucks, Fresh Cold Coconuts, Cold Brew Tea, Fine Art, Men's and Women's Clothing, Jewelry, Hats, Sunglasses and Wood Carvings. It runs every Wednesday from 9am to 2pm at the corner of Keonekai Street and South Kihei Road across from Kam 3 Beach Park.

Join us every Wednesday at 10:00am for a fun-filled story time! We’ll read a few simple stories, then make a craft or do an activity. Great fun for 2 – 5 year-olds and their parents or caregivers.

Balinese Wayang Listrik (giant shadow puppets in combination with live action and gamelan orchestra)

Panji and the Lost Princess is a large-scale Balinese shadow puppetry performance in the tradition of wayang listrik. The story is based on the Balinese interpretation of a traditional Javanese story, and adapted to the genre of wayang listrik by Balinese master artists I Ketut Wirtawan and I Madé Moja. The show is dynamically staged with giant shadow puppetry, actors, dancers, special lighting effects, and is accompanied by a live gamelan ensemble, led by master musician I Madé Widana. The style of the production, wayang listrik (Indonesian for “electric shadows”), is a recent development in Balinese shadow puppetry that emerged in the late 1990s. What distinguishes this art form from others is the inclusion of giant screens, paintings, complex lighting, 3-dimensional effects, and dancers, as well as actors behind the screen, wearing shadow masks carved in a similar manner as traditional kulit (“leather”) puppets. Moja has staged two previous wayang listrik productions at Kennedy Theatre: Subali-Sugriwa – Battle of the Monkey Kings and The Last King of Bali. We are thrilled that he will return this season to serve as the master designer and co-director of this production.
