This exhibition takes the viewer on a journey through the diverse regions of the Philippines featuring centerpieces of Filipino attire, from the southern Muslim and Indigenous communities in Mindanao, to the Indigenous communities in the northern Luzon region, to the predominantly Roman Catholic central Visayan Islands, to the national dress associated with Manila.

Honoring the deep connection between Hawai'i and the Philippines, a display of historical photographs shares the story of the Sakada, the first 15 Filipinos who immigrated to Hilo, Hawai'i, as labor workers in 1906.

A festive tea, a magical ballet performance, and an amazing time interacting with lead dancers!

Dress to impress in your finest attire and join us for some magic this holiday season on a tour through a dainty tea party, an enchanted snow forest, and the delectable Land of Sweets! Enjoy professional family photos with the Sugar Plum Fairy and other famous characters! Crafts, games, drinks, and treats shared with friends and cast members, while witnessing performances from the Nutcracker!

Located in our beautiful studio at the Queen Kaahumanu Center! There are two tea times available, Sunday, December 1, 2024 at 12:30pm and 2:30pm. Space is limited! $25 for Adults and Keiki. Each tea party is 1 hour.

Kona Choral Society’s 13th annual “Joy to the World” community concert will take place Sunday, November 30th at Kona’s Old Airport Makaeo Pavilion, 4:00-5:30 p.m. The program will feature guest conductor Maika`i Nash and guest accompanist Dr. Tommy Yee. The 100 member Chorus will perform holiday music from around the world, and the audience will be invited to join a Sing-Along of familiar carols. Special music will be provided by the Kona Brass, and the SeaNotes (a female barbershop quartet).

The Clairvoyants Show, which premiered in 2024, is the result of over 500 shows in Las Vegas and a sold-out tour of North America. The show's creative team, which works closely with the exceptional artists, is impressive: From Lady Gaga's costume designer, to the director of America's Got Talent, to designers from Cirque de Soleil, you'll find the most creative minds from Las Vegas united here!

With their extraordinary magic, the illusions created especially for the show and the impressive staging, Thommy Ten and Amélie van Tass once again set new standards and prove why they are among the most famous and successful magicians in the world.

In addition to Thommy Ten and Amélie van Tass, their talented dog, Mr. Koni Hundini, will also be back onstage to conjure up many new magical moments. Among other things, Koni will read the thoughts of an audience member and show what new tricks he has learned in Las Vegas.

About the Garden:

Step away from the city and enjoy a refreshing visit to Foster Botanical Garden, the oldest of the Honolulu Botanical Gardens. This 14-acre oasis features a world-class collection of tropical plants, including some magnificent trees planted in the 1850s by Dr. William Hillebrand. These trees mark the beginning of what would become the Honolulu Botanical Gardens.

What to Expect:

Tours are led by dedicated volunteer guides who have completed a six-week training program. They bring the garden to life with in-depth stories, history, culture, and fascinating insights into its plants and animals.
