Join us at the East Hawaii Makers Market at The Stables in Pahoa.

Our opening bell rings every third Sunday at 12:00 and the market will close at 5:00 pm.

Sit for a bit at the Coffee Bar to enjoy a market fresh pastry or head straight to the International Food Court serving ready to eat meals and packaged to-go cuisines from around the world. Each booth prepares food fresh on-site and many source their ingredients locally from growers and farms.

The Makers Market hosts local growers, farms, producers and distributors with fresh and prepared foods... and don't forget the baked confections and chocolates being offered.

Displayed in the Makers Gallery are fine arts and crafts all made locally by the vendor.

Hands On Cold-Process Soap Making Class
Learning about tools, equipment, safely combining ingredients,
how to develop formulations, step by step process, along with some
history of soap making.

Garimo's class may likely be the only hand-on class in Hawaii.
Class limited to six participants.

Public Tours of Foster Botanical Garden resume in January 2025!

Volunteer docents will conduct tours on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., rain or shine.

Docents just completed a six-week training and are eager to engage the public meaningfully.

On these tours, docents will provide an overview and some details of some of the gardenʻs seven sections. No two tours are the same—different docents bring different background knowledge and life experiences. All are passionate about plants.

Tours are limited to about 20 people and are included in the price of admission ($5 for visitors, $3 for residents, $1 for children).

The 2025 Hawaii’s Woodshow™ marks the 33rd anniversary of Hawai‘i’s
premier woodworking exhibition, presented by the Hawai‘i Forest
Association (HFA). This annual showcase celebrates masterful
craftsmanship, innovative design, and the unparalleled beauty of
furniture and fine woodworking created from Hawaiian-grown woods.

Artists are challenged to create exceptional works that highlight the
character, figure, and spirit of local species—especially those
cultivated and matured in Hawai‘i. By doing so, the Woodshow not only
inspires excellence in artistry but also underscores the value of
planting and stewarding high-quality hardwoods for future generations.
