Starting up a new business is a difficult task, and sometimes you just need a little leg up.  That’s what Arben Kryeziu is trying to help with on Maui.

Kryeziu is the CEO of MBloom, a start-up incubator on Maui.  The group funds small businesses that need a financial bump to help get their ideas moving. It also provides a space for new and innovative minds to come together.

Mbloom is funding these companies with a ten million dollar boost from private investors and the state-run Hawaii Strategic Development Corporation. The idea is also to keep the talent close to home:

Kryeziu hopes that the promotion of new companies can help make Hawaii an enticing option for larger investment companies from the mainland.
