The United Health Foundation ranks Hawai‘i number 1 among states in overall health, crediting us with double digit decreases in smoking and binge drinking in the last two years.  Still, 22% of Hawai‘i’s  population is considered obese, a situation three fitness buffs are trying to address.  HPR’sNoeTanigawa reports from Mother Waldron Park in Kaka‘ako.

According to press information from Fitness on the Block is a workout concert series that combines multiple fitness formats that will challenge all fitness levels while having fun. They have partnered with Certified Fitness Instructors teaching various fitness formats such as Renegade Fit, Zumba, RIPPED, Yoga, and much more.

The free classes will be held at Our Kaka'ako Warehouses on Cooke & Pohukaaina Streets
