U.S. Sen. Mazie Hirono on defueling Red Hill and Hawaiʻi's relationship with the military

U.S. Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaiʻi) sits on the Armed Services Committee. She toured the Navy Red Hill fuel storage facility Tuesday and met with small business owners at the Naval Exchange who have been affected by fuel-contaminated water. Hirono spoke with The Conversation about her visit and the millions of dollars in federal funds to address the crisis.
