This locally-made feature film follows two families drawn together by tragedy

Angel by Thursday

Ten years ago, firefighter by day and filmmaker by night Jeff Wallace had only a name: Angel By Thursday. Now, that's the title of his first feature film. The film was shot in Hawaiʻi and HPR’s Russell Subiono is a member of the cast.

The Conversation spoke with Wallace about how that first spark of inspiration led him down a decade-long path.

This interview aired on The Conversation on Jan. 24, 2022. The Conversation airs weekdays at 11 a.m. on HPR-1.
