Twinkle Borge is the loving matriarch and steward of the new Pu’uhonua o Wai’anae homestead.
James Koshiba, a volunteer with Hui Aloha, and HPR's Noe Tanigawa were having lunch with Borge, the primary energy generator/whip cracker for the Pu’uhonua community — and beyond.
It seems to be working. They hope to have homes for 250 people ready by the end of next year. Koshiba mentioned hundreds of volunteer hours from G70 architects, plus heavy lifting from HomeAid Hawaiʻi, Hale Partners, and dozens more. Fundraising continues at alohaliveshere.org.
