Hawaii Disability Rights Center

For the first time, Hawaiʻi residents with disabilities are being prioritized in an effort to reduce the barriers to getting the COVID-19 vaccine. The clinics start Saturday at the Waikele Shopping Center.

The Conversation talked to Lou Erteschik of the Hawaii Disability Rights Center about the efforts underway.

Two inclusive clinics on Aug. 7 and 28 will be at the Waikele Shopping Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, or make an appointment at Hawaiʻi Pacific Health’s vaccine website.
