Overnight camping will be suspended at Bellows Field Beach Park from April 18 to Sept. 1 to welcome the return of nesting sea turtles. The endangered species will nest, incubate, and hatch at the beach during the summer.

A grand jury has indicted a Waimānalo couple for the murder of their 6-year-old adopted daughter. Police believe Isabella Kalua was killed about a month before her adoptive parents Isaac and Lehua Kalua reported her missing. The body of the girl, who some refer to by her birth name Ariel, has not been found.

A biological sister of a 6-year-old Waimānalo girl reported missing by their adoptive parents told police that they forced her to keep it a secret that Isabella Kalua was inside a dog cage with duct tape on her mouth and nose and not breathing. That's according to documents filed in court Friday to justify the arrests of Isaac and Lehua Kalua on suspicion of second-degree murder.
