Molokai Student Earns Top Prize for Baseball Invention

Erik Svetin, an incoming Molokai High freshman added a row of stitches to a baseball to see if it would increase the distance it traveled. His invention took top honors for the state of Hawaii at the national Discovery Education 3M Youth Scientist Challenge.
