HONOLULU — One person was dead and three others injured after a shooting Tuesday morning on Oʻahu.

Honolulu Emergency Management Services Department spokesperson Shayne Enright said the three people injured were taken to a hospital after the shooting in Waiʻanae.

The Honolulu Police Department “is actively investigating a shooting in Waiʻanae with multiple victims,” police spokesperson Sarah Yoro said in a statement. “Please avoid the area. The investigation is ongoing.”

According to police, the shooting took place at the 86-900 block of Pokaikuahiwi Place, which is a residential neighborhood.

Other details weren't immediately available, including if any suspects were in custody.
