State tourism continued to recover in November with increased travelers and visitor spending.
According to the latest monthly report from the Hawaiʻi Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, more than 600,000 visitors arrived in the state last month.
That is down 24% compared to the same month in 2019.
A majority of visitors were from the continental U.S., but there were nearly 2,600 visitors from Japan.
In November, visitors spent a total of $1.18 billion. But that is down 11.5% compared to November 2019.
