The 89,000-square-foot facility will offer primary care, mental health, audiology, physical and occupational therapy, dental and prosthetic services for more than 87,000 Oʻahu veterans.

The U.S. Senate has passed legislation to name the facility after the late U.S. Sen. Daniel Akaka, who spearheaded the project. The legislation is awaiting approval from the House of Representatives.

“The ALOHA project realizes the vision and mission of the late U.S. Senator Daniel Akaka, who worked tirelessly to ensure that our veterans and service members get the support they need where they need it," said Steve Colón, President of Hunt’s Development Division in Hawai‘i and a U.S. Navy veteran.
