More free COVID test sites are opening Thursday morning on Oʻahu and Hawaiʻi Island.

Nomi Health, a private health care company, is opening three new COVID test sites this week.

The company, in partnership with the City and County of Honolulu, will add Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center and Hawaii Kai Park and Ride to its list of testing sites on Oʻahu.

In the past two weeks, Nomi Health also opened testing locations at the Waikiki Shell and Blaisdell Arena.

On Hawaiʻi Island, the company is launching a new test site in Hilo at Waiakea Center.

All Nomi Health test sites offer rapid antigen or PCR nasal swab tests — at no cost to patients. The company will bill the patient’s health care provider.

However, Nomi Health representatives say health insurance is not a requirement for people who want to take a COVID test.

Residents and visitors who want to take a test at any of Nomi Health’s test sites are urged to pre-register ahead of time.
