Maui Bus Will Combine Certain Monthly Passes Into Single $25 Pass

County of Maui/State of Hawaii

The County of Maui announced a new fixed-route monthly bus pass available to certain people starting July 1.

Riders ages 55 and older, people with certified disability fixed-route cards, Medicare cardholders, and students ages 24 and younger will be eligible. These monthly bus passes had previously varied in price but will soon be combined into a Reduced Monthly Pass costing $25.

Other fares for fixed routes and commuter services will remain unchanged.

All monthly and daily passes will no longer be available for ADA Paratransit Service. The $2 one-way fare option will remain.

The Maui Bus Fixed Route Service will resume for Kihei Villager Route #15 and the Ka‘anapali Islander Route #25. Maui Bus Commuter Service will resume for the Makawao-Kapalua Commuter, Kihei-Kapalua Commuter, Haiku-Wailea Commuter, and the Wailuku-Kapalua #3 and #4.

All bus times will return to pre-COVID routing and time schedule.
