Southwest Selling Tickets For Hawai?i Routes

It’s official: Southwest Airlines is putting tickets on sale for flights to Hawai?i from California and between the major islands. 

According to the company’s website, the initial flights will be between Oakland and Honolulu, starting March 17th. Interisland tickets are also available on the airline's site.

Through tomorrow, tickets start at $49 one way between Oakland and San Jose and Honolulu and Kahului. 

Later flights from San Jose to Kona and Kahului will be added over the next two months. 

The company says it will eventually be flying from Oakland, San Diego, San Jose and Sacramento to Honolulu, Kahului, Kona and Lihue. 

Southwest is offering Interisland service beginning April 28 between Honolulu and Kahului and starting May 12 between Honolulu and Kona. Through tomorrow, tickets are offered starting at $29 one way. The routes will operate four times daily in both directions.

Details on service from San Diego and Sacramento and to Lihue will be announced in coming weeks.
