The clock is ticking for Hawaii residents who have one more day to register to vote in the August primary elections.

State officials are hoping to increase voter turnout this year by setting up drive-thru voter registration events today and tomorrow.

Chief Elections Officer Scott Nago says the process is so simple, you don’t even need to step out of your car.

2014 Drive-Thru Voter Registration locations:

Hawaii

9 am - 4:30 pm.: Kona Kmart, Pahoa Marketplace and the Old GMC building in Hilo

Kauai

8 am - 4 pm: Kauai County Building

Oahu

9 am - 4:30 pm: Hawaii State Capitol, at the St. Damien statue

This year’s primary election is on Saturday, August 9.
