Lights for Lahaina returns in 2026 with two meaningful evenings honoring remembrance, resilience, and community in the heart of Lahaina. Presented by Aloha Amplified, this free, public event takes place September 11–12, 2026, bringing residents and visitors together to reflect, remember, and share in collective healing.
On Friday, September 11, from 4:30–8:00 pm at Maria Lanakila Catholic Church, Our Lahaina Story invites the community to gather around shared roots and living memories through local entertainment, favorite foods we grew up with, cultural practitioners and activities, creative art experiences, games, and talk story reflections. At the center of the evening is an interactive exhibit that honors the everyday moments, voices, and memories that continue to shape Lahaina.
On Saturday, September 12, from 6:00–9:00 pm, the Light March offers a walk of remembrance, resilience, and unity through historic Lahaina Town, as participants carry light together with gentle mele, quiet reflection, and storytelling woven along the route, concluding with a closing gathering at Maria Lanakila Catholic Church.
