The Shops at Wailea Announces Wailea WednesdaysWeekly Live Music Series Featuring Local Entertainers
Nevah Too Late is a Maui band formed by three local boys that brings together the sounds of fingerstyle guitar, ukulele and bass to cover songs spanning multiple eras and genres with a unique sound.
Both Derek Bal (guitar and lead vocals) and Randy Leval (ukulele and vocals) were born and raised on Maui and are alumni of St. Anthony High School. Mickey Felipe (bass and vocals) was born and raised on Lanai and is an alumnus of Lanai High School.
They have a repertoire of over 1000 songs including Hawaiian and Local Contemporary Songs, holiday favorites and tons of popular hit music from the time of the Big Band era through every decade up to the present. They enjoy uniquely tailoring their music to fit the attendees and theme of each event they play for, as well as taking requests from the audience. They “nevah” use the exact same set list twice.
Seating is provided throughout the property for guests to enjoy. At this time, The Shops at Wailea kindly ask guests not to bring their own chairs. Mahalo for your understanding. The Shops’ special events and entertainment are designed to complement the guest shopping and dining experience and guests are welcome to come and go as they wish.

The trouble is, Susan doesn’t believe in Voices. And yet, when The Voice tells her to walk the Camino de Santiago in Spain, she obeys despite knowing nothing about this ancient pilgrimage.

The Courtyard Marriott Oahu North Shore recently announced its upcoming schedule for its Talk Story & Makeke in the new year. The bi-monthly program will continue to celebrate the stories, talents, and traditions of our island community in 2026 with feature speakers. Free and open to the public, the events typically take place every second and fourth Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the hotel’s conference room (dates subject to change).
Alex & Shannon Galea'i, cultural specialists and founders of VA'A (Visualize and Achieve) Beyond, will highlight Polynesian practices to help individuals and communities reconnect and grow.
The Record Company was born out of a late-night hang in 2011, when Chris Vos (vocals, guitar), Alex Stiff (bass, backing vocals), and Marc Cazorla (drums, backing vocals) spun classic blues records like John Lee Hooker’s Hooker ’N Heat and swapped stories of their favorite concerts (Iggy Pop & The Stooges, among them). Energized by the evening, the three musicians reconvened the next day for a jam session at Stiff’s Los Feliz home. Before long, his living room would become the band’s epicenter as they wrote songs, performed for friends, and, eventually, recorded and mixed their debut album, "Give It Back to You."
Blending the soul of Delta blues with the power of classic rock and roll, the trio recorded much of the album live, giving songs like“Off the Ground,” “Rita Mae Young,” and “On the Move” a raw, immediate feel. They also incorporated slideguitar, pedal steel, piano, and harmonica, showcasing both their range and reverence for tradition while infusing it with modern energy.

January 15 Free Brown Bag Talk on “Robert Rules! Your Procedural Pathway to Better Board Meetings”
The non-profit Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center will host a free talk on January 15th as part of their “Finding Solutions, Growing Peace” Brown Bag Lunch Series. Talks are Third Thursdays from 12 noon to 1 pm via Zoom.
This month’s speaker is Jon Henricks on the topic “Robert Rules! Your Procedural Pathway to Better Board Meetings.”
“It’s not good enough to just survive board meetings. We can do better,” says Henricks. “Let’s explore how the basic fundamentals of Robert’s Rules of Order will simplify and streamline your board meetings, rather than bog them down in arcane and stuffy procedure.”
Join us for a lively and interactive discussion that will demonstrate how time-tested procedures will foster structure, efficiency, and dignity in meetings that matter.
Ku‘ikahi’s Brown Bag Lunch Series is free and open to the public. To get the Zoom link, contact Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center at (808) 935-7844 or visit hawaiimediation.org.
