Living with Alzheimer's for Caregivers – Middle-Stage

About the speaker: Laurel Coleman is a geriatric/palliative care physician who has cared for persons living with dementia for most of her professional life. She has been an advocate for improved medical care and support for caregivers by volunteering for the Alzheimer’s Association, serving on her local chapter board, and participating in over 25 Walks to End Alzheimers. Laurel was on the National Board of Directors for the Alzheimer’s Association for 8 years and also served on the National Alzheimer’s Project Act Council within the Dept. of Health and Human Services in the Obama Administration. About the class: In the middle stage of Alzheimer’s disease, needs change and care partners become hands-on caregivers. Join us to hear caregivers and professionals discuss helpful strategies to provide safe, effective and comfortable care in the middle stage of Alzheimer’s. Attendance at previous classes in this series is not a prerequisite for this class.
