Mid-Pacific’s Kupu Hou Academy, an institution with a mission to help teachers think and develop more rigorous and engaging academic experiences for learners through a Deeper Learning framework, is hosting its annual PADDLE workshop from July 17-20, 2023. This dynamic and transformative professional opportunity will empower teachers to elevate their practices and prepare their students for the future.

This innovative online program will encourage pedagogical innovation, equipping teachers with the skills needed to integrate the use of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their courses through a student-centered approach. This course will provide an emphasis on Project Based Learning (PBL), Deeper Learning Practices (DLP) and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

Through our supportive cohort model, participants will design lessons and student projects that harness the power of AI, while aligning with the guiding principles of DLP and UDL. By the end of the course, teachers will have crafted an engaging, AI-charged project or inquiry-based process, ready to be implemented in the upcoming school year.

For DOE teachers, this workshop provides 3 credits for PDE3. Educators from public, charter and private schools across the state are encouraged to attend. Register HERE. Cost is $600. Registration is limited to 50 participants.
