Keiki Hula Fall Series – LIVE, Online, Interactive with Kumu Mālia Helelā 3 to 6 year olds: Mondays, Oct 18- Dec 13, 2021 (except Nov 29) 3:00 pm- 3:45 pm HST Participants in the Keiki Hula series will have an opportunity to perform at our annual Merry & Bright celebration, Sunday Dec 19, 2021 Enrolling your child in this hula hālau (school) is one of the best live, interactive introductions to Hawaiian language and culture you could find. Students learn both hula kahiko (ancient hula) and hula auana (modern hula), with the basic dance steps, hand gestures, as well as mele (Hawaiian singing). Kumu Mālia imparts a genuine enthusiasm for learning as well as a deep appreciation of nature.
