Free Brown Bag Talk
September 18 Free Brown Bag Talk on “Her Voice, Her Power: Reclaiming Sovereignty in Conflict”
The non-profit Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center will host a free talk on September 18th as part of their “Finding Solutions, Growing Peace” Brown Bag Lunch Series. Talks are Third Thursdays from 12 noon to 1 pm via Zoom.
This month’s speaker is Shelby K. Morrison on the topic “Her Voice, Her Power: Reclaiming Sovereignty in Conflict.”
“In a culture that conditions women to be pleasing, quiet, and agreeable, using our voice—especially in conflict—can feel dangerous,” says Morrison.
In this potent session for women, you’ll explore why you stay silent, what it’s costing you, and the freedom that comes with reclaiming your voice. You’ll leave with a renewed sense of permission, insight into what holds you back, and a few bold first steps toward speaking up with power.
Ku‘ikahi’s Brown Bag Lunch Series is free and open to the public. To get the Zoom link, contact Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center at (808) 935-7844 or visit hawaiimediation.org.
Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
