“My Name is Gary Cooper”, the current production at KumuKahua has been generating a lot of buzz for the unconventional way it tackles family and race relations. According to the play, the 1953 Hollywood film, “Return to Paradise” starring Gary Cooper, spawned a generation of Samoan “Gary Coopers”, one of whom is the subject of this story. HPR’sNoeTanigawa reports.
“My Name is Gary Cooper”, continues at Kumu Kahua Theatre tonight through Sunday only February 22nd. This production is for mature audiences. Kumu Kahua has informed HPR of a very special deal they will offer this weekend only:
Here's our incentive for you: we have one weekend of the show left - if you'd like to come back and see the show again, or would be so kind as to tell your friends about it, you and your friends can use the code MARTINI to receive 1/2 off the price of your tickets! You can use that code when ordering online, or when you call the box office. When ordering online, after you've selected your show date, you come to the Select Seats screen.
