
This weekend, Hilo is celebrating cetaceans and our relationship with them. HPR’sNoeTanigawa reports on the Aloha Kanaloa Festival this Sunday and the Conservation Council of Hawai’i’s “Jive for Wildlife” party on President’s Day.
The free “Aloha Kanaloa Cultural Festival” offers food, entertainment and fun, 10am to 4 this Sunday at Moku Ola, Coconut Island, in Hilo. Bring a food donation to be entered in the raffle drawing. The Conservation Council of Hawai’i’s “Jive for Wildlife” features heavy pupu, a silent auction, wildlife store, and entertainment by 2013 Grammy nominee Kahulanui and jazz blues singer KeahiConjugacion. That’s Monday, Presidents’ Day, at the Hilo Hawaiian.
