Local poet Joseph Stanton turns to the natural world for inspiration

This next story is about a poet whose new book “Prevailing Winds” is just out this week. Joseph Stanton is a University of Hawaiʻi art history professor whose talents include writing prose. Stanton spoke to The Conversation about how he turns to the natural world for inspiration.

Stanton will be presenting a poetry workshop at the Honolulu Museum of Art on Aug. 20. This interview aired on The Conversation on May 11, 2022. The Conversation airs weekdays at 11 a.m. on HPR-1.
