With the crowds, come more crime: tourists are being targeted once again now that the visitor count is on the rise. The Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii has been flooded with calls for help. The Conversation talked to Jessica Lani Rich, executive director of VASH about the uptick and how to stay safe.

VASH is always on the lookout for new volunteers. A new training session is planned for September.

This interview aired on The Conversation on Aug. 12, 2021.
