Repairing controversial Kaka'ako roads

It took a 10-year legal battle to get to the bottom of who actually owns the roads in Kaka'ako and to get someone to finally fix them. Now that a judge has ruled in favor of the city and state, the city has the green light to repair over 100 potholes in the area and eventually upgrade the streets entirely. Scott Saiki, the area lawmaker who also happens to be Speaker of the House, and City Facilities Director Roger Babcock shared the latest developments.

Hana Hou: The Royal Room at Waikiki Beach Walk
The Royal Room is one of the newest additions to Waikiki. Opened in partnership with the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame, the Royal Room celebrates Hawaii’s musical heritage, from the Monarchy era to the present day, with museum quality exhibits.
