Hawaii County Finances
We’ve heard a lot about the budget problems facing the state government, but what about the local level? HPR’s government reporter Ryan Finnerty has been looking into that and joins us this morning.
University of Hawaii President
It's been a week since the University of Hawaii system has been back in session. So far, enrollment at UH Manoa and West Oahu is up about 3%, with Hilo while six of the community colleges seeing a drop. For the most part, students and faculty are working remotely but there are some in-person classes. University President David Lassner joins us on the system's reopening.
Reality Check: Lawmakers Urge Two Weeks of Strong Action
According to lawmakers, the next two weeks will be critical for the state of Hawaii to pull itself out of its ongoing COVID outbreak. Reporter Stewart Yerton joins us with more.

Her Ocean Watch column ended its long run in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser this summer, but you can still find her online. She joins us and gives us a recap of her most memorable ocean studies and adventures.
