Getting local food to you during stay at home orders
Dinner these days isn't as easy dining at your favorite eatery, or even dropping into the grocery store without waiting in line and keeping your distance. GoFarm Hawaii, Upcountry Farmers Market and Farm-A-Go-Go work to connect consumers with farmers during this trying time, and a up and coming local chef updates us on how his plans have been put on hold because of the COVID-19 crisis. Andrew Wong of Liliha won the prestgious The 50 Best BBVA Scholarship winner. Click here for more info on the scholarship contest.

Staying healthy during the COVID-19 crisis
Dr. Michael Lewis has coordinated infectious disease programs across Asia for the U.S. Department of Defense, and was at ground zero for both SARS and avian flu. He tells us about keeping our immune systems up. And Fran Butera of Foodscapes Hawaii tells us about edible landscaping and starting up a garden - even on an condo lanai.
Helping the homeless during the pandemic
Last week, the state of Hawaii and the City & County of Honolulu issued policies to close public bathrooms in beach parks and small boat harbors. A grassroots homeless advocacy group, Hui Aloha, knew what the impact would be as the unsheltered in our community need public restrooms for water, sanitation and hygiene. On Maui, the Family Life Center is helping out its houseless community during the crisis.
