How are some of the counties across the state grappling with what we throw away? What are the differences and similarities as we try and reduce, recycle, reuse and trash our rubbish.

  •  Lori Kahikina, Director of  Dept. of Environmental Services in Honolulu.

  • Robert Smith and Tamara Farnsworth from Maui County. Smith Represents the Solid Waste Division and Farnsworth is the County’s Environmental Protection and Sustainability Supervisor.

  •  and Allison Fraley, Solid Waste Program Development Coordinator on Kauai.

Joining us in studio:

  • State Rep.Takashi Ohno. He represents Liliha, Puunui, Alewa Heights and Nuuanu and has some ideas about how the state can help the city county with illegal dumping.
