City’s Plan to Remove Abandoned Car: Sheri Kajiwara

Statewide complaints about junked cars hit a crescendo last year. Lawmakers have been hearing measures to try and solve the problem. Senate Bill 2479, which requires removal of cars within ten days, is getting pushback from the counties. City Director of Customer Services Sheri Kajiwara explains why the bill in its current form would not work.

History of Ewa Field Pearl Harbor: John Bond

Marine Corps Air Station Ewa was one of the first military installations hit by the Japanese Empire’s December 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. John Bond is a history buff who has made it his mission to remind us of the battle that raged there the morning of December 7. He speaks at “Remembering History: Honouliuli and Ewa Field,” a Japanese Culture Center of Hawaii event this Saturday.
