But he’s not just a filmmaker; he is also a former Bering Sea fisherman and a Hawaii fisheries observer...The film, Ties that Bind premiers this week at the Hawaii International Film Festival. Education Week Investigates Cyber Charter Schools: Benjamin Herold
Anxiety over online charter schools isn’t new...but the depth of the concerns is brought to light in an investigation this month published by Education Week. The story looks at cyber charter schools spanning kindergarten through grade 12 across the nation, including in Hawaii, where we have three online charter schools. Benjamin Herold is a staff writer for Education Week and part of the team that spent 8 months researching the schools and he joins us from his office in Philadelphia.
