Saturday night was a long one for the Hawaii State Teacher's Association board. A marathon session ended with a decision to hold another election for officers and NEA delegates. The reason, according to the board, was because of election irregularities. But some teachers are not convinced and say it could be a matter of not liking the results. Former HSTA Executive Director, Joan Husted joined the show to probe the process.

Maybe this describes you... positive memories stick, but negative events come back in greater depth. For decades, researchers have studied negative bias... and perhaps HPD might want to remember that. Since last year many of the stories involving HPD have involved some pieces that have brought out strong negative response. Think the Chief's family mailbox case and how the department counters prostitution, or deals with domestic violence. So we wondered... does HPD have an image problem? We called Kitty Lagareta, Chief Executive Officer at Communications Pacific and she joined the show via phone.
