Palestinian Journalist: Khaldoun Abukhattab
We've said it before, we'll say it again… journalism is a dangerous business. No one knows that better than foreign correspondents and their families. Earlier this week we spoke about the journalists covering Vietnam and how the dangers of covering war have fundamentally changed since then- but what about covering the news at home, when the place of your home is war torn. Khaldoun Abukhattab would know something about that. He's the international news editor of a Ramallah based paper and he's in Honolulu for the senior journalists seminar at the East west cente. Khaldoun Abukhattab is the international news editor for the Palestinian Authority’s Alhayat Aljadida newspaper in the West Bank. Established in 1995, the paper covers all aspects of local politics, sports, economy and international news.
